Course Fees

All students undertaking a Tasmanian traineeship need to provide the following:

  • Physical ability to be able to perform the required manual handling duties of a carer
  • Evidence of current flu and COVID vaccinations may be required for mandatory work placement
  • National Police Check
  • Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) card
  • NDIS Worker’s Screening Card (Yellow Card)
  • To undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment

 

Students will also need to be:

  • An Australian citizen, hold a current Australian permanent resident visa, or is lawfully permitted to work and study in Australia
  • Recipients are required to obtain and record the visa status of all Eligible Learners to whom they deliver Subsidised Training, as evidence of their eligibility

 

In addition to the above requirements, eligible students must:

  • Have not received Subsidised Training for the same Training Product (unless required by licensing) in the previous five (5) years
  • Not be currently receiving funding for the same Training Product from any other government source (local, State or Australian)
  • Have an approved training contract if they will train as an apprentice or trainee

 

Recognition of Prior Learning
